C&L is run by Kerry Payne.  Kerry has been in the concrete industry since 1987 after training with New Zealand’s leading decorative company at the time. Kerry  moved onto train in pre-cast concrete where he spent a number of years learning many skills including concrete production, machine operation placing and finishing U3 concrete and building of concrete tilt panels.

 

In 1994 Kerry moved to Auckland for 3 years to further his learning and to perfect the laying of exposed aggregate concrete (as this was not yet done in Christchurch) and the laying of coloured concrete.

 

On Kerry's return to Christchurch in 1997 he started laying exposed aggregate, coloured concrete and cut and coloured concrete which was new to Christchurch at this time. Kerry has also worked all over the world including running a landscaping company in London for 3 years. Following this he was a foreman for Walt Disney Imagineering in Hong Kong where he taught local people how to place and finish coloured concrete on the new Walt Disney World.

 

After returning to New Zealand in late 2004 Kerry and his wife started their own business and have become one of Christchurch’s preferred concrete and landscape contractors for many housing companies, architects and home owners alike.
